HALLOWEEN EDITION: TREE COSTUME

Attach fake green or autumn leaves with safety pins (so you can easily wear again) to a brown or green dress or sweatshirt. You can find a lot of fall foliage on sale right now at craft stores such as Micheal's. For your "trunk" wear basic brown leggings or tights (the above are from charlotte russe, but you can also try target and walmart), and brown boots or sneakers. For a more realistic feel, add items such as twigs and acorns, or even craft a bird's nest to your shoulder.

It's THE perfect basic hoody. If you've never forked the cash over before, now you can practically buy 3 for the original price! It's not available in every color/style at this deal, but with 15 basic colors available you've got plenty to choose from.

HALLOWEEN EDITION: THE UNICORN

The unicorn look can be pulled off in a few different ways. First you need your horn. The mask seen here comes in silver, gold, and white. If you want something cheaper and diy, try rolling poster board in a triangle and covering with tinfoil or wrap braided trim around it. Then use some elastic to secure to your head or hot glue it to a headband.

Next find a dress. You may have something in your closet already or you can try hitting up the thrift store. I'd suggest a white, silver, and/or black color scheme (Seen above: Black/Silver, Silver, White).

Add some chunky shoes or boots (hoofs) and you're pretty much good to go. You can accessorize with a wig (or metallic/sparkly hair spray), metallic or faux fur items, and don't forget to finish the look with some glitter/shimmer make-up.

Now go find your inner unicorn!

DATE NIGHT

For me, safe first date bets (and even the dates thereafter) have always been black or red dresses. Both are classic and sexy, and I love the form-fitting knit styles that are currently in fashion. The simplicity of the ones below give free reign to boldly accessorize, and both colors do well with rosy gold and champagne hues. I wouldn't recommend piling on all the jewelry listed for the same outfit, but all the options are mixable and interchangeable, and the nail polish works wonderfully with both looks.

As for the shoes, I like basic black peep toes with the red American Apparel dress, and cute, patent red heels with the black tube dress.
